{"id":661,"date":"2025-09-29T15:37:40","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T15:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.forestalargentina.com.ar\/forestal-argentina-together-with-fundacion-habitat-desarrollo-conducted-environmental-education-sessions-in-schools-in-entre-rios-and-corrientes\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T13:45:25","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T13:45:25","slug":"forestal-argentina-together-with-fundacion-habitat-desarrollo-conducted-environmental-education-sessions-in-schools-in-entre-rios-and-corrientes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestalargentina.com.ar\/en\/forestal-argentina-together-with-fundacion-habitat-desarrollo-conducted-environmental-education-sessions-in-schools-in-entre-rios-and-corrientes\/","title":{"rendered":"Forestal Argentina, together with Fundaci\u00f3n H\u00e1bitat &amp; Desarrollo, conducted environmental education sessions in schools in Entre R\u00edos and Corrientes."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On September <strong>8, 9, and 10, 2025,<\/strong> Forestal Argentina, together with the <strong>NGO Fundaci\u00f3n H\u00e1bitat &amp; Desarrollo (FH&amp;D)<\/strong>, carried out an environmental education and interpretation campaign in schools in<strong> Colonia Ayu\u00ed (Entre R\u00edos),<\/strong> Bonpland,<strong> La Cruz, and Tapebicu\u00e1 (Corrientes).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative aimed to introduce students to <strong>Protected Natural Areas (PNAs)<\/strong> and highlight their importance in conserving emblematic and endangered species, as well as those declared Natural Monuments. Additionally, it emphasized how private reserves, such as those managed by Forestal Argentina, complement public efforts through national and provincial parks and reserves, serving as spaces for research, learning, and preservation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, more than <strong>330 students and teachers<\/strong> from various educational levels participated in the workshops, which were characterized by their <strong>educational and playful<\/strong> approach:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Species puzzles and maps<\/strong>: students reconstructed provincial maps and discovered native emblematic animals such as the maned wolf, capybara, and agouti.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wildlife sticker albums<\/strong>: specially designed for the activity, they allowed the children to identify characteristic species and associate them with their habitats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interactive games with camera trap videos<\/strong>: students had to guess \u201cwhat happened next\u201d based on real recordings of animals in the natural reserves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wildlife and nature \u201cPictionary\u201d<\/strong>: using drawings, the groups depicted key species from the PNAs and shared interesting facts about them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Group competitions<\/strong> such as \u201cWho knows more about the viracho, capybara, and maned wolf,\u201d relay races with mammal tokens, and word search activities using images.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Creating the \u201cideal reserve\u201d<\/strong>: the children designed their own natural area on paper, including a name and selected species, encouraging reflection on biodiversity management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, <strong>meetings were held with teachers and future educators<\/strong>. At the <strong>Teacher Training Institute of Paso de los Libres<\/strong>, more than 70 biology and geography students participated in a discussion on how to incorporate topics of flora, fauna, and conservation into urban and school environments, analyzing recent regional cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshops were coordinated by <strong>FH&amp;D environmental interpretation guides, Lic. Leandro Segovia and Sabrina Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, together with Ing.
