As part of International Environment Day, Forestal Argentina carried out a series of activities throughout June aimed at rural primary and secondary schools in the province of Corrientes, reaffirming its commitment to environmental awareness and education.
More than 1,200 children, teachers, and families actively participated in the events held at schools in San Antonio, Paraje Capilla, Concepción, Colonia Tata Cuá, Paraje La Florida (Saladas and Santa Rosa), Bonpland, Tapebicuá, and the municipality of La Cruz.
As it has been doing for several years, the company promoted an artistic initiative through the puppet show @sakadosdeltacho, created and performed by Federico BASKO Ugalde, under the United Nations’ theme: #BeatPlasticPollution.
The show, performed with puppets made from reused plastic containers, tells a story that combines our local wildlife, their habits, the challenges they face, and the impact of poorly managed waste. Through fun scenes, quirky situations, and musical numbers, a clear message is conveyed: caring for the environment starts with our everyday choices.
The audience’s enthusiasm and their connection with the characters created unforgettable moments, demonstrating the power of creativity as a tool to raise awareness and educate about respect for the environment.
These actions not only promote responsible attitudes toward the environment but also contribute to quality education through innovative initiatives that reach communities with limited access to such programs.
