Forestal Argentina has renewed its FSC® certification and reaffirms its commitment to responsible forest management.

Forestal Argentina has successfully completed a new external audit under the FSC® certification scheme, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable forest management in line with the highest environmental, social, and economic standards.

The evaluation was carried out in May by an independent auditing body. During this process, a representative sample of the company’s properties and operational environments was reviewed, in accordance with the national forest management standard FSC\_STD\_ARG\_01\_2024. The audit included interviews with workers, clients, public agencies, NGOs, local experts, and residents of nearby communities.

The FSC® certificate covers all our management units and assures clients and stakeholders that our forest plantations are managed responsibly. The audit verified compliance with the 10 principles of the FSC® system, which address key aspects such as legal compliance, workers’ rights, environmental impact, and community development, under both national and international legal frameworks such as the ILO principles and the CITES, Biological Diversity, and RAMSAR conventions.

Implementing this management system allows us to maintain a standard that promotes the overall sustainability of the project. This translates into respect and appreciation for human capital, contribution to the development of neighboring communities, protection of natural resources, and the pursuit of shared benefits as an essential part of our activities.

At the conclusion of the audit, special recognition was given to teamwork, the high labor standards observed in the field, and the comprehensive management of resources.

This latest renewal not only validates the strength of Forestal Argentina’s forest management system but also provides valuable learnings and opportunities for continued improvement.
