Forestal Argentina took first place in the 3rd Forest Firefighters Conference

As part of Forest Fire Prevention Month, Forestal Argentina actively participated in the 3rd Forest Firefighters Conference, held on August 1 and 2 in the city of Gobernador Virasoro, Corrientes.

The event, organized by the Fire Management Consortium with the cooperation of various companies in the sector, brought together 11 brigades from different forestry companies. The aim was to evaluate technical skills and abilities, raise awareness of the work of the brigade members, strengthen ties between colleagues in the sector, and recognize the fundamental role they play in every rural firefighting operation.

During the conference, technical talks were given by companies such as Inforest and Stihl on prevention and firefighting equipment and practices. Subsequently, the brigades competed in qualifying tests that simulated real fire situations, such as:

  • Construction of firebreaks using hand tools.
  • Simulation of victim care.
  • Direct firefighting.

In this context, the “Charly 23” brigade, belonging to our contractor Logística y Servicios, took first place. The team stood out for its coordination, commitment, and high technical level, under the leadership of Adrián Vogel and Martín Spriegel, leaders in our Forest Protection area.

“This recognition reflects not only the preparedness of our brigade, but also Forestal Argentina’s collective commitment to prevention, ongoing training, and the protection of forests and communities,” Vogel and Spriegel emphasized.

This achievement reaffirms our leadership in forest safety and sustainability, while highlighting the efforts of our employees who work every day to prevent and mitigate fires.

We congratulate all the brigade members for their dedication and professionalism, and we celebrate this result, which encourages us to continue sharing more energy to protect what we love most: our forests.
