Guided tours are part of the social engagement strategy with the company’s stakeholders, these instances allow visitors to learn about the way the company operates, the implementation of its sustainability policy, the implementation of good management practices and the commitments undertaken to achieve a socially and environmentally responsible management.

On this occasion, 10 students and 3 teachers had the opportunity to learn about one of the final stages of the production process of forest plantations, “mechanized harvesting”, which consists of the directed turning of trees, in this pine plantation, with specialized forestry machinery “Processors” that are in charge of outsourced service companies and supervised by direct employees of Forestal Argentina. The purpose of harvesting is to supply the roundwood demands of the company’s different customers.

This process is carried out under strict safety regulations. At the time of the visit, the activity was stopped so that it could be observed without risk, and so that visitors could interact with the forestry operators, tour the machinery and ask questions.

Undoubtedly it was a nice day that allowed to share field work experiences and that reinforces the work of the educational institutions in strengthening the training of future talents.
